This is book one of the Victorian Virtues Series, Christian Historical Romance read. Grace has is content with her decision to take on the job of a companion to a wealthy man living in Lindenfell. She moves there and things seem to be fine, until, one day a mystery man appears into town. Dr. Carbury, a medical doctor that believes in using Chloroform until one day his patient dies. He is determined to prove he is innocent, but finds another hinderance comes up. When he and Grace meet, they are attracted, but Grace is reserved about something. What is Dr. Carbury hiding? Will Grace be able to find out what is going on? Are they both safe from what he is hiding?
If you love a historical romance read then get this book. Wonderful mystery page turning story. It is book one and I look forward to book two. If you are in the mood for reading a book that will keep you interested from beginning to the end..... this is the book.
