This book is a suspense/mystery with a little romance. Aubrey is a Houston Police officer that is spending a relaxing weekend with her mentor and "adopted dad" a Senator is shot , she is determined to take the case and find out who did it.... Adam, her best friend and maybe a little more, now an FBI agent is in town for a case involving selling on oneline chat rooms, when he finds out about Aubrey and the Senator, he jumps on board to help with the case. Will their relationship re-kindle from working the same case? Can Aubrey finally forgive? Can they solve this case before someone is hurt or worse killed?
I would recommend this book to those that like a good book of suspense and drama. This is a good read, it was a little slow at times for my reads. However, it kept me interested and reading for the twist and turns throughout the book. I got attached to the characters in the book and was feeling for them by the end of the book.
