The Wish ~ Beverly Lewis

This is an Amish story about two friends that are split by one family moving away.  Years later Leona and Gloria make contact with each other.   As their lives have changed over the years, they both try to reach out to each other.  When one of them is engaged, can the friendship survive with now a fiancée involved?  The story is not filled with drama or suspense, but it is a wholesome, relaxing read of friendship, trust and faith.

I would recommend this book if you are an avid Amish reader.  I found this story to be much slower and non dramatic than I am used to reading.  But it is a good reading if you want to just read and go to another place.  If you are a reader that needs a page turner this may not be for you.
