This is book #1 in the Charmed Amish Life series by Shelley Shepard Gray. This book is about a town that has been hit by tragedy of the town's mill having an accidental fire and the death of 5 employees. This leaves the town and the families of the dead in mourning and trying to put their lives back into a "new normal" schedule. The main character is Darla, she is dealing with some of the towns people blaming her father for starting the fire and dealing with providing for her family. This story also has many other side stories of families that ties into this story line.I would recommend this book to those that enjoy Amish books and those that want a good afternoon read of a story with a few twist and turns that you usually don't see in Amish books. This book does end in a way that you don't need to read book #2 to find out what happens, however; you will become attached to the characters and want to know more about them and the town.
