This is book 2 of the A Season in Pinecraft series, an Amish Christian read. Betsy is young and ready to see the world, she sets out to accomplish her bucket list in Pinecraft, Florida. She starts out her journey of taking golf lessons and meets August. They become friends and start to hang out together. August knows what it feels like to be sheltered in life and follow rules, his parents are missionaries and very protective of him. Betsy meets new friends and is getting close to August, could there be more? When things start to happen unexpectedly, how does this effect Betsy and her plan to experience new things in life?
I would recommend this book if you are a fan of Amish, if you want a good relaxing summer afternoon read and if you just enjoy a book that will tug at your heart. This book deals with everyday life issues that each of us may struggle with, society, rules, and trying to please family. This is book 2 of the series, however, it can be read as a stand alone.
