This book is part of the Doors of the Past series.  This historical true mystery read, keeps you in the present and  takes you back into time.  Chloe is in the town of Sarasota, FL to research her new book and try to find out what happened to Lucinda.  When she finds more than she imagined regarding the disappearing of Lucinda, she is shocked and determined to find the whole story and truth.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!!  Each book from the series is a page turner and gives the reader suspense, drama and romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat.  All books from the series are stand alone reads,  the common denominator in the series is that all books are true historical crimes that have really happened.  Each written story has been changed, but the truth and history is given as part of the written knowledge in the back of the book, for the reader to see the changes.)  I hope the series never ends, they are all sooooo goood!

It’s hard to split time living between Wisconsin and Sarasota Florida and NOT get caught up in the circus world! The Ringlings are icons in Sarasota where a LOT of things are named for them! But the five circus brothers got their start right here in Wisconsin. So, when the opportunity to create a story for DOORS TO THE PAST came my way, it was pretty much a no-brainer that I would go with John and Mable Ringling’s incredible home, Ca ‘d Zan as the setting. Then somehow, I stumbled on this picture:
