As two long time friends (that are really opposite of each other and don't have that much in common) decide to hike the Appalachian Trail together the adventure begins right at the start of shopping for equipment. They start in Georgia at the beginning of the trail and plan to stop at the end of the trail in Maine, all 2,100 miles and the side trails. The book covers many different encounters and does a great job of describing each hike to make you feel that you are really there. It has a lot of humor between the two and right from the beginning as you read makes you wonder, do they ever make it to the end or how far can they make it?
I would recommend this to anyone the enjoys an easy flowing read, comedy and light hearted fun. I would caution that is does have some language as one of the guys seems to use profanity in most of his conversations. Other then that it is a pretty good book.
