Ishmael Covenant ~ Terry Brennan

This is the first book in the Empires of the Armageddon series. The book starts out back in time of Prussia 1794 and then comes back to the current time of 2014.  When agent Brian Mullaney is assigned to protect the box that holds the fate of the world in it, and along with it comes the job of also protecting US Ambassador and his daughter.  The story takes us on an adventure of mystery, suspense and drama.  What does all this mean to the safety of everyone and the future of the country?  Can the agent protect all three at the same time?

I would recommend this book to those that love a great suspense read that takes you all over the world.  It is one of those books that takes history and today culture into one book.  It leaves the reader to want to keep reading just to find out how will this end and how does it all go together.  It has some violence, but not much.  It is a great book for those guys that don't want the romance, sappy read.  This is a book that could really take place in today's world. Can't wait to read book 2 of the series.
