A redesigned Life ~ Tracy Steel

This book helps with you de-cluttering your life emotions and your home.  I like how Tracy gives examples of her own life and then writes how to see it GOD's way... I found it to be a book where you don't have to read from cover to cover, you can pick up and just open to how you are feeling that day and read.   Tracy also added at the end of each chapter some helpful home decorating tips an example is how color adds or takes away in a room, I found this information very helpful in how color can make you feel.

I would recommend this book to any age that wants to handle any situation and know that GOD does have a plan, not the one you think, but GOD is with you everyday.  I liked the style and easy read of this book.

Nice ~ Sharon Hode Miller

This book explores the difference between being nice, a people pleaser and following the word of GOD. In today's world everyone feels if they are not nice and are a Christian then you are a hypocrite of your faith.... this book tells a different story of how nice sometimes is not a way of practicing true kindness and honesty in the way of following Jesus.  Sharon tells how to stand up for Jesus and teach GOD's word in today's living.

I would recommend this book to anyone that is a people pleaser, feels they have to be nice all the time, feels they will cause an argument if they speak their true feelings.  This book gets to the truth, uses bible verses and everyday situations to teach us how to get to living the faith and back to the ways of GOd's truthful words.

Breathe Again ~ Niki Hardy

Nikki teaches women how to survive in a world of pain and sadness... her own story of dealing with cancer is touching and used as a tool in this book.  I was grabbed by this book from chapter one when she writes "We must kill the lies we believe before they kill our ability to live life to the full."   When talking to friends and co-workers this is what they are dealing with everyday.... they have no self-confidence, feel sad, feel unaccepted and the list goes on.

I would recommend this book to all women and especially if you have had a loved one go through cancer, depression or a tragic lost.  Each chapter has a story, a great saying (I call it pick me up), an exercise and a prayer at the very end.  This book is written in an easy to read and understand that you are not alone..... I recommend this to all aged women. It would be a great small group read.

The Gryphon Heist~ James R Hannibal

This is a suspense, thriller from beginning to the end.  If you like a page turner then this book is for you.  The story is of Talia, a rookie CIA agent on her first case and she must accomplish the task within days.  This story is one that you will need to read and pay close attention as it has so many twist and turns that you can get lost in the reading.  However, you will not want to put the book down as it keeps you guessing until the end.

I would recommend this book to all that enjoy the suspense and drama of a good mystery. If you are a fan of John Grisham then you will also enjoy James R. Hannibal. This was the first book of his i have read and was very impressed at the style and content that keeps you guessing.... can't wait for book 2.

Back Roads to Belonging ~ Kristen Strong

This is an excellent book about how to feel that you belong in life.  Kristen does a great job of telling of different stories (of her everyday life) and how to relate them in what GOD says.  I like how she gives us a story, a travel companion (contains a story and bible verse as back up) and then a blessing in each of the chapters.  I started reading and couldn't put it down, everything made sense and fits into everyday life of thinking.

I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to just feel good and know they belong no matter what the situation is.  This book is a great book to give you courage and security that GOD loves you 24/7, no matter what, HE is with you.  I loved how you can pick this book up and just open to any page and just feel GOD's love.   Great book and inspirational read.

Light from Distant Stars ~ Shawn Smucker

This is the story of Cohen Marah who tells us of his adulthood and back to his childhood.  This is a book that is hard to keep track of and I wasn't that touched by the way it was written.  I got confused by trying to keep up with who is talking in the book and where the story line was.  I got half way through and just had to give up because it was so hard for me to understand the story and what was going on.  This is not the type of book I usually read, but the cover was interesting to me and I thought the story was going to be more of a mystery, suspense type book with a well meaning in it.

I can't recommend this book, as I didn't understand it and I couldn't get through the whole book.  I don't do well reading books done in the 3rd person style, that may be the reason I didn't enjoy this story.

The String ~ Caleb Breakey

This book is very disturbing to read and I couldn't get past the first few chapters.  After trying to read a few times, I just couldn't do it.  This is a creepy, horror, violent book that I don't know how it fits into the Christian book category.   I enjoy a good suspense / thriller read, but this is just too scary and violent for my taste to read.

I can not recommend this book for anyone to read as I couldn't read it and I defiantly wouldn't recommend to any of my christian friends to read.  Sorry but just not my type of a read.
