Always Watching ~ Lynette Eason

Book #1 of the Elite Guardians series and this story is one that has drama, romance, suspense, twists and turns.  This is of an all girls agency that will keep you turning the pages from beginning to the end.  This book tell of all 4 girls in the agency, however the main story line is of agent Olivia and her having to guard Wade a very popular psychiatrist and radio star who is being stalked.  As Olivia watches over Wade there are many twist and turns as she tries to find out who the stalker is.

This was the first book I have read from the author and it will not be my last.  This is a great book for those that like a good mystery with many twist and turns that are unpredictable.  If you want a light fluffy book this is not for you.  This is a great book to keep your blood pressure going and keeps you guessing to the very end.  Great book that keeps you interested from page 1 until you read page 318.   Can't wait for Book # 2 Without Warning.

The Prophetess ~ Jill Eileen Smith

This is book #2 in the Daughters of the Promised Land Series and is about Deborah's story.  The story of Deborah tells of how her leadership was to save her people.  Deborah's story is one of heartache, pain and having to have the courage and faith to follow what GOD is telling you to do.  Her plan in life is to get married (an arranged marriage by her father), have a family and do what every woman does in her community... take care of all your families needs.  However, GOD has a different plan of Deborah becoming a very powerful leader and saving her people.

I would recommend this book to those that want to read a great story about a biblical person that we don't hear much about.  When you start this book it will be hard to put down as it keeps your attention from the beginning to the end.  I did not read book #1 in this series but I am intrigued to do so now.  I really like the way Jill writes and the ability of her attention to details.

Blue Ribbon Trail Ride ~ Miralee Ferrell

This is book #4 in the Horses and Friend series.  As the series continues, this book is about Kate and her friends finding a way to raise money so her brother Pete (who has autism) may go to summer camp.  They come up with the idea to have a scavenger hunt while being on horse back through the trails at Kate's farm.  When the box that holds all the entry fee money and cash donations is stolen, Kate and her friends set out to solve who took it.  The mystery of who took it and why, continues through the whole book.  The book also introduces a new character that is very entertaining and I am sure will be in future books.

I would recommend this book to young readers and any one that loves horses.  This whole series is a great read for any age.  It is meant for young readers, however, the books have such great meaning that everyone will enjoy these stories.

21 Seconds to change your world ~ Dr. Mark Rutland

When Dr. Mark Rutland was going through a difficult time and hit bottom, he decided to read The Lord's prayer and Psalm 23 over and over every day.  In this book he teaches you how to pray in 21 seconds everyday that will change your life.  He goes into depth of the Lord's prayer and Psalms 23, explaining to you what all this means and how to use in your everyday life.

I would recommend this book to everyone. It is an inspirational book that teaches that GOD wanted everyone to pray the Lord's pray ever day.  I like how he challenges you to pray the Lord's prayer and witness that it only takes 21 seconds.  This was a new way to look at and also encouraging you of a way to pray everyday in your busy life.

Root & Sky ~ Christine Purifoy

Christine takes you on a yearly journey through finding peace in GOD's plan for you.  She writes about her spiritual journey when she moves to a farmhouse in Pennsylvania.  Her story is written through every month from Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.  She tells us of the deep meaning within each season. This is about finding your own rest and peace that we all long for during our journey through life.

I would recommend this book to those that want a good read that makes you think about your journey in life and how you look at things in the world.  This will make you think.  This would be a good book club read, as you will want to talk about her journey.  It is a book that you read slowly and take time to mediate on what you just read.  This book has a lot of meaning and thought put into it.

This is the study of 1-2 Thessalonians written through the sermons of Daniel Hyde, preacher.  Each chapter is of his sermon that he had preached at his church before GOD called him to another church.  You can read from cover to cover or read the chapters out of sync, it is what you want to read.  Each chapter goes into details and provides scripture as the back up of his sermon.

I would recommend this book if you want to study 1-2 Thessalonians, use as a tool for a bible study or just read daily as a devotional.  This is not a light and fluffy read, it is detailed and will require you to pay attention to what you are reading.

This is book #1 of the Misty Willow Series.  The story is about Shelby and how she moves back to her childhood home.  She is a recent widow and has 2 young daughters.  As her journey begins she meets AJ the man from her past.  Shelby and AJ's families have a mystery that has kept them enemies since she left town.  This book also has many other side stories that keep your interest.  A few other characters will keep the pages turning and turning, with many twists and turns, that you don't see coming.  It is a book that covers family, faith, forgiveness and encouragement of GOD's love will prevail all wrapped up in one.

I would recommend this book to those that want a book to keep you on your toes.  You will not want to stop reading as every chapter gives you a new twist.  Do not start this book in the evening as you will not want to stop reading until the end.  I made the mistake of starting on a Sunday night and had to stop because I had to work in the morning, needless to say, I couldn't wait to get home and find out what was going to happen.   This is a great book that will touch your heart.  I can't wait for book #2.

This is book #4 of the King's Meadow Series, the last book of the series.  You don't need to read the others to read this book.  It goes well with the series but can be a stand alone read.

This is a romance about forgiveness and finding your purpose in life.  Penny has lost her mother to sickness and now years later her brother in a tragic accident.  Her life now consist of just her and her dad living on the family farm.  Trevor comes to town at the request of Penny's late brother, Brad.  Trevor is searching to find why God has placed him in this town.  Both Penny and Trevor are searching for happiness after the death of Brad.

I would recommend this book to those that like a romance with a little bit of complications.  It doesn't have a lot of drama or twists and turns, but it does have the mystery of two people dealing with loss and forgiveness.

A Son's Vow ~ Shelley Shepard Gray

This is book #1 in the Charmed Amish Life series by Shelley Shepard Gray.  This book is about a town that has been hit by tragedy of the town's mill having an accidental fire and the death of 5 employees.   This leaves the town and the families of the dead in mourning and trying to put their lives back into a "new normal" schedule.  The main character is Darla, she is dealing with some of the towns people blaming her father for starting the fire and dealing with providing for her family.  This story also has many other side stories of families that ties into this story line.

I would recommend this book to those that enjoy Amish books and those that want a good afternoon read of a story with a few twist and turns that you usually don't see in Amish books.  This book does end in a way that you don't need to read book #2 to find out what happens, however; you will become attached to the characters and want to know more about them and the town.

With this ring? ~ Witemeyer, Connealy, Jennings, Jagears

As 4 novellas all in one book that covers a variety of romance/wedding stories back in the era of the 1900's to keep your interest.  Each story has it's own characters and charm to keep you entertained and enjoying these short reads.  The authors of these stories do a great job to take you back into the western time and keep you intrigued to take the afternoon, sit back, relax and read a quick story.  The book has the following The Husban maneuver, Her Dearly Unintended, Runaway Bride and Engaging the Competition.  Each story has it's own type of humor, romance and takes place in different locations.

I would recommend this book to those that like quick reads and western setting books.  I found a few of the stories a little slow moving for my type of reading. It is a good book if you don't want to have alot of time to read and just want to pass a few hours.  It is the type of book I call as a fluff read that you pick up, know what is going to happen and can finish all in one setting.

Thin Ice ~ Irene Hannon

This is book #2 in the Men of Valor series.  This story has both suspense and romance all wrapped up into one story.  I didn't read book #1 and was able to understand what was happening.  This story kept my attention from beginning to the end.  It has many twists and turns that it will keep you guessing until the end.  You will become attached to the characters in this book.  If you haven't read book #1 (as I have not) you will want to read it at the end of this one.  This was my very first book read by Irene and she did not fail me.

I would recommend this book to those that want a good suspense filled, page turning read.  Once you start reading this book you will not be able to put it down.  If you are an avid reader of law novels, suspense, crime, drama and a little touch of romance then this is the read for you.  Great book for those that like a book to keep you guessing at all times.
