Food (A love story) ~ Jim Gaffigan

Love Food?  I do, this book is funny, entertaining and so true. Jim is a comedian that loves food and loves writing about how society loves food.  He talks about all types of food from salads, meats, vegetables, and everything in between.  You can read this cover to cover or just pick it up and select a chapter as a short fun read.

I would recommend this book to those that want a fun read and love food (just as the title says).  This book is for any age group.  If you want to smile and read a book that you can relate to in everyday life, read this book.

A Stitch in Crime ~ Cathy Elliott (Quilting Series book # 25)

Another book in the Quilter series (book 25) and another enjoyable read.  This is not a nail biting suspense book, it is a book that keeps you guessing until the end.  A light read and has many characters to keep you guessing who did it and why, right up to the very end of the book.  It does wrap your attention around the characters and gives you a sense of who they are. The author does a great job relating you to the people in the story.

I would recommend this book to anyone that wants a quick mystery read that is not nail biting and suspenseful.  Just a relaxing, easy going read.

Dashing Dish ~ Katie Farrell

This is a great cookbook, with using ingredients that you have in your kitchen.  Katie's goal is to teach how to eat clean and she gives you recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.  These are good and very easy recipes.  I was impressed that they are so easy to prepare and quick to do. Anyone will be able to prepare these dishes.  She gives a wide variety of using different ingredients and that teaches you how to use these in your everyday life.

I would recommend this book to anyone, it is an easy read, educational and all about comfort food that we all love to eat.  If you are looking for a having a better diet and eating healthy, get this book.  If you want fast and simple healthy recipes, get this book.  If you just want very fast and easy recipes, get this book.

Always on my Mind ~ Susan May Warren

Book 4 of the Christiansen Family Novel series.  This is another great book from Susan.  I really enjoy this series and have become attached to the characters.  This book draws me in from beginning to the end (again).  It picks up right were book 3 ends.  If you haven't read book 3 it is ok to read this one as you have the back ground provide to you, however, you should read them and get the whole scoop and feelings for each character.  This is the story of Casper and Raina, as the main story line, however, others in the family and town are also the sideline stories that keep you reading.  Great story with lots of emotions, grace and leaves you wanting more.

I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good read with everyday situations.  I would recommend reading all the books in this series, they are all good.
